The way frost melts off of branches,
And morning dew disappears,
After your shadow crosses their path.
You're a bit like the summer rain,
In the way that you wash all remains
Of yesterday's mid-afternoon sunlight.
And I'm a bit wonderfully terrified
Because of the way you make me feel
Terribly wonderful.

I'm in a melancholic state of mind right now. Finals are coming around the bend, and I have no idea why but I am just reminiscing a bit. Well, it is funny to look back on the past years and note on no matter what has happened to us, we still remain generally the same people. People have stayed unchanged, and it's just silly to believe that because of a new year we will become newer, shinier, updated versions of ourselves.
Today was a beautiful day. Michigan has been cloudy and cold and dreadfully windy lately, but it was so warm and breezy and perfect today. I got to break back into the tank top/board shorts/bathing-suit-underneath/flip flops combo. Oof. Lately I have been feeling slightly (okay, very) under appreciated, but I'm sure it is all just in my head.
Wonderful artists and music! You see, I shall write my discoveries of music so I can go back to my blog entries for good songs and artists to buy on iTunes. How clever. Haha.
Regina Spektor. (As always.) Eet. Samson. On the Radio. Laughing With. Hotel Song. Dance Anthem of the 80s. Raindrops.
She & Him. In the Sun. Sentimental Heart. This is Not a Test. Lotta Love.
Relax. Bittersweet (feat. Jamie Cullum).
The Sheer. Understand.
